About Colorado Performance
Volleyball Club

Staff and Administration

Performance is currently structured as an LLP, working towards 501(c)3, non-profit corporation status. Operations Director is Rob Reynard. The Head Coach is John Chasey. Additional coaches and parents serve in a variety of support positions.

The coaching staff at Performance is comprised of former and current college, high school and club coaches and players. Combined, we offer over 60 years of coaching experience to our athletes. The common thread that weaves through our staff is a commitment and pursuit of excellence in volleyball and personal growth. The Performance trademark will be our staff and their personal approach to player development.

Training Schedules

The Colorado Performance program trains primarily in the South Metro/Englewood/Highlands Ranch area. Gym sites and training times are scheduled prior to the season's start and are consistent throughout the year.

Our top teams in each age-group will train 3 times a week and have additional opportunities. They should average about 10 hours of training weekly. Our 2nd team in the age-group will train 2-3 times a week, getting about 8 hours of instruction.

The season runs from mid-January to May or longer, depending upon Junior Olympic qualification. All Colorado Performance teams will travel to at least one national event, some attending three. Additionally, opportunities to compete outside Colorado will always be pursued.

Practice is important, and will be treated that way. The club and its players development is contingent upon players getting the most out of their time in the gym.

Club Structure

Performance is geared to the athlete searching for a club program that puts volleyball at the forefront of their lives. Competitive, driven athletes who desire a high level of training and competition, balanced against their teenage lives.

It is the CPV belief that in order to achieve greatness -both personal and athletic- coach, player, parent and staff must work in unison to develop a synthesized relationship which puts the team and players first.

Our complete fee structure and itemized expense breakdown are available at our orientation meeting. Additionally, Performance costs are all inclusive excluding national travel and are highly competitive with other RMR organizations.

Teams within the Colorado Performance Volleyball organization will compete both regionally and nationally. Travel is directed by a club travel coordinator, working with teams on an individual basis. National travel is designed to expose our athletes to college coaches and recruiters, and expose our players to a higher level of play they don't get to see at home.

Players who desire to play at the collegiate level, or who want to maximize their abilities and enjoy the high school experience can both find a home at CPV. The program has both 1st and 2nd level teams in various age-groups, geared to differing levels of experience and ability.

Colorado Performance begins tryouts in October for the 14 & Under age-group. For all other age groups, mid-November tryouts and team selections are scheduled. Each team will have a paid head and assistant coaches, as well as direct access to the program administration and Head Coaches.

The training and competitive objectives of Colorado Performance Volleyball are simple: Train in an environment of consistency, purpose, enthusiasm and passion with the sole objectives of personal and team skill and performance improvement. Work hard, get better. Compete at both the Regional and National levels with team objectives of winning and observed individual and team system improvement. Beat the competition, get better.

Club Mission

The Colorado Performance Volleyball program believes in the lessons that athletics teach each and every one of us. We believe the structure, discipline and effort required to succeed in team athletics teaches participants the lifelong lessons of responsibility, accountability and commitment.

It is the belief and philosophy of the club that our primary responsibilities to our athletes are to:

  • Provide safe, disciplined and structured environments in both training and competition for all participants.

  • Establish positive relationships and respect between the program, the athletes, the coaches and families.

  • Train our athletes at the highest level possible with the primary performance objective of high-level team and personal success.

The Performance program is dedicated to the growth, development and education of its players and their families in regards to the sport of volleyball. Our vision of "whole-player" development charges us with the task of preparing our players for the physical, emotional and psychological demands that high-level competition places upon athletes. CPV places an emphasis on performance coupled with an enjoyment of the sport and personal accomplishment. If the reward is not greater than the sacrifice, then the sacrifice is too great.

Performance athletes will be put in an environment that can and will allow for personal achievement inside the team dynamic.

Performance believes that the success an athlete enjoys is related directly to the belief exhibited in the athlete by teammates, coaches and parents.
